  • World drug campaign website launched

Posted on May 23rd, 2009 TimB No comments

As part of its campaign to raise awareness about the major challenge that illicit drugs represents to society as a whole, especially to the young, UNODC launched today a dedicated website at www.unodc.org/drugs.

The campaign website includes a wealth of information on different types of drugs, from cannabis to methamphetamine, and health tips for parents, teachers and young people. The site is currently available in English and Spanish. The French version is coming soon.

Besides encouraging young people and their role models to get the facts about drugs, UNODC invites individuals, non-profit organisations, the private sector and Member States to get involved. Those interested can join the campaign by, for example, organising outreach events to mark 26 June, World Drug Day, or by using the campaign slogan and logo in promotional products, websites and social media.

At www.unodc.org/drugs, visitors will find logos, brochures, factsheets and web banners in different languages. They will also get a chance to take a stand against drug use by joining our Facebook group and cause, adding their World Drug Day photographs to the UNODC Flickr collection or following us on Twitter, in English and Spanish.

  • INEF seeking sponsors

Posted on April 19th, 2009 inef No comments

The planning group for the INEF are currently in the process of planning our first formal meeting and so we’re seeking companies that may wish to sponsor us. Sponsorship can happen a couple of ways:

    • Meeting sponsorship
This will allow you to have a stand at our meeting, this of course will represent an ideal opportunity to get your products/services seen by workers, managers and commissioners that represent Irelands services. Meetings like this have been rare in Ireland and we expect an enthusiastic turnout. Meeting sponsors will also receive a mention in the online meeting reports to thank them for thier support.
    • Website sponsorship
Running this site isn’t free so we are seeking corporate sponsorship on the site, this will allow you to have advertising that appears on every page of this website. This is a site that will be seen by every service in Ireland and beyond and this is your chance to drive traffic from the INEF to your own website.
    • Full sponsorship
A combination of the two, allowing you to have a presence at  our meetings and online.

For more information on becoming a sponsor please contact us via email.
